Job summary

The Save Mart Companies in Modesto, CA is seeking a Multi-Purpose Clerk - Grocery (Night Crew) to stock shelves, price items, and manage overnight tasks. The role includes offloading shipments, rotating stock, and ensuring proper temperatures in cases and coolers.

Responsibilities include order writing, inventory accuracy, safety reporting, and operating check stands. Evening/night shifts are required, with a supportive team environment and opportunities to grow within the grocery network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be 18+ and able to lift up to 85 lbs on occasion.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, display, pricing and face product.
• Break down loads including unwrapping, rotating and packing boxes.
• Order writing, item to tag integrity.
• Report all risks or safety issues to management.
• Ensure proper temperature in cases/coolers.
• Maintain inventory accuracy.
• Minimal checking on cash register.
• Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas.
• Know location of MSDS binder and information about all materials used during work.
• May operate forklift if authorized and certified.
• May operate commercial baler if authorized to compress cardboard.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
