You will promote respectful service, answer product questions, and stay informed about promotions and safety regulations. Retail experience and multilingual skills are a plus for this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions or make suggestions.
• Recommend grocery items to customers and inform them of specials.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell-by dates.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise and provide fresh products as ordered.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and keep temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of needed repairs.
• Notify management of accidents involving customers or employees.
• Report safety risks and illegal activity including theft or fraud.

• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; provide customers with fresh products that they have ordered

• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
