Job summary

Kroger in Bartlett, Tennessee is seeking an team member to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a safe, clean environment in the department and store. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales goals and uphold quality assurance standards.

Candidates should be able to answer product questions, promote specials, ensure product freshness, and follow food safety regulations. Retail experience is a plus and a second language is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers in the department.

• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products
• Recommend grocery items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need; inform customers of grocery specials
• Check product quality to ensure freshness; review sell by dates and take appropriate action
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; provide customers with fresh products that they have ordered
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
