Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Grocery Department Manager in the Shreveport area to lead daily operations, drive sales, and maintain excellent customer service. You will be responsible for merchandising, pricing accuracy, in‑stock conditions, and a fast-paced, hands-on leadership style that motivates the team.

The ideal candidate will oversee staffing, training, and coaching of grocery associates, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while delivering a superior shopping

Qualifications

• Experience in grocery department leadership and operations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to train and coach staff.
• Proven merchandising and planogram execution knowledge.
• Ability to analyze sales and inventory data.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department with a focus on customer service, sales, and department readiness
• Deliver friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally
• Ensure shelves, displays, and aisles are clean, full, front-faced, and merchandised to company standards
• Execute planograms, promotional sets, seasonal transitions, and weekly ad merchandising
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, product rotation, and backroom organization
• Monitor shrink and implement procedures to reduce waste and loss
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and operational standards
• Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment

Main r esponsibilities
