Job summary

Uncle Gs Management Corp. is seeking a Front of the House Clerk to support customer service across a department in our grocery store. You will greet customers, learn product information, assist with selections, and help keep displays stocked and organized.

Ideal candidates are customer-focused, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Training will cover department procedures, safety standards, and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must speak and understand English.
• Grocery/retail experience is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn product knowledge and department procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly service.
• Learn about products in assigned department.
• Answer questions and assist with product selections.
• Stock, organize, rotate and replenish merchandise or displays.
• Prepare, package, weigh, label and price products as required.
• Slice, portion or serve food per department procedures.
• Check product quality and expiration dates.
• Maintain attractive, fresh, fully stocked displays.
• Operate department equipment safely after training.
• Process purchases and payments if cashier or customer service role.
• Maintain clean, sanitary counters, equipment and work areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation and workplace safety guidelines.
• Work closely with department manager and team members.
• Perform other department-related duties as assigned.
