C.A. Fortune in Joliet, IL is seeking a Temporary Grocery Merchandiser to manage store visits, merchandising tasks, and reporting via mobile apps. This role involves lifting up to 50 pounds and working independently within a defined territory.

The position is full-time, 37–40 hours per week, with compensation of $20 per hour, and ends February 27, 2027. Local territory coverage and route flexibility are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver license.
• Proof of automobile insurance.
• Reliable phone service and internet for daily communication.
• Ability to drive to stores in assigned territory for tasks and audits.
• Strong communication and ability to follow directions independently.
• Retail, sales or merchandising experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gain and maintain product distribution by building relationships with store teams.
• Retail work: order products, stock shelves from new orders, etc.
• Conduct audits in area grocery stores.
• Travel between store locations within the territory.
• Verify products are accurately represented on shelves.
• Maintain a safe working environment in stores.
• Present a professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift regularly; up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a fast-paced retail environment with minimal supervision.
• Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.
