Qualifications

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the Grocery department well stocked, organized and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales.
• Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner.
• Applies proper stocking techniques to ensure products are properly located on shelves, ensures merchandise is in saleable condition with correct prices and signs.
• May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries through operation of power jack or hand jack.
• Handles damaged or discontinued items according to company policy. Removes product that cannot be sold.
• Responsible for general sanitation in the department. Follows cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure work areas are clean.
• Maintains productivity standards, work methods and standards and shrink control. Puts out stock at an acceptable rate as determined by company standards.
• May also be called upon to assist in other departments.
