PCC Community Markets in Ballard, Seattle is seeking a Grocery Clerk to support department operations, train staff, and manage inventory and displays. You’ll ensure clean, safe conditions and accurate pricing while delivering friendly, professional service to customers.

The role requires lifting up to 40 lbs, weekend availability, and prior grocery experience. Starting wage is $21.55/hour with comprehensive benefits and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• 2+ years grocery experience required.
• Ability to work mid-day/evening shifts, weekends, and occasional overnights.
• Strong teambuilding, training, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in a grocery setting.
• Assist grocery operations, including training, ordering, productivity, and inventory as directed.
• Stock displays with attention to quantity, quality, timing, and merchandising plan.
• Handle price changes and signage.
• Fill in for Receiving, Night Crew, Dairy, and Beer & Wine when needed.
• Maintain department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Ensure organic standards integrity for bulk department.
• Process sales at register per PCC standards.
