Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service across Fresh departments. You’ll engage customers, share product information, and keep displays full, fresh, and appealing.

This role requires physical activity, comfort with technology, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery. Prior retail or food service experience helps, but is not required.

Qualifications

• Friendly, customer-first mindset and strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to learn job-specific technology and follow safety standards.
• Previous retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Support food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
