Fred Meyer is hiring a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to create an outstanding customer experience by bagging groceries, assisting customers, and maintaining a safe, clean store environment. You will help with loading bags, price checks, stocking shelves, and upholding company values of respect and safety.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Strive to bag at least five items without damaging contents.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various bag types.
• Assist in removing customer merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills and collect trash inside store and in parking lot.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs.
• Answer questions to help customers find products and feel welcome.
