Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger at our Brighton, CO store. You’ll bag groceries, assist customers, and keep aisles safe and clean while delivering friendly, efficient service.

You’ll plan for efficiency with bagging best practices, help load purchases, restock shelves, and follow food safety guidelines. We value honesty, respect, and a commitment to creating a welcoming shopping experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Aim to bag at least five items per bag while avoiding damage.
• Bag items using reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of special offers.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect trash inside store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand the store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with questions.
• Follow local, state and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environments.
• Manage conflict in a calm, cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
