Job summary

Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace in Ramsey, NJ is seeking a Grocery Clerk to keep shelves stocked, labeled, and inviting. You’ll assist customers in finding products and help maintain a clean, organized store environment.

The role requires a positive, customer-first attitude, strong communication, and the ability to lift 30+ pounds. You’ll stand, bend, and climb ladders as needed to complete daily tasks and contribute to a smooth shopping experience.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do

As a Grocery Clerk, you’ll play an important role in keeping our store organized, clean, and inviting. You’ll ensure products are well-stocked, properly labeled, and easy for customers to find — all while delivering friendly, helpful service.

Your day-to-day will include:

1. Stocking shelves neatly and safely with grocery items
2. Ensuring all items are labeled and priced correctly
3. Rotating stock and checking expiration dates
4. Assisting customers with locating products
5. Maintaining product displays so they look great and organized
6. Supporting other departments when needed, including bagging and carrying groceries for customers
7. Following all store policies, safety guidelines, and local regulations

What We’re Looking For

1. Must be 18 years or older
2. Able to lift boxes weighing 30+ pounds safely
3. Comfortable standing, bending, and reaching throughout your shift
4. Can climb ladders and move around tight spaces when needed
5. Strong attention to detail and great communication skills

Working Conditions
