Job summary

The Save Mart Companies in Hayward, CA is hiring a Multi-Purpose Clerk – Grocery. You will support multiple departments, assist customers, and help ensure product freshness and store presentation.

Responsibilities include stocking, bagging, checkout operations, and responding to customer requests. You’ll work in a fast-paced retail environment and must be at least 18 with excellent service and reliability. This is a full-time role with varied shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Six months of related retail experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent customer service and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Center Store/Front End: operate check-stand and stock shelves.
• Produce: inspect and log products, stock and rotate.
• Meat/Seafood: inspect, weigh, wrap, and log products; assist customers at seafood counter.
• Bakery/Deli: inspect, weigh, package, and merchandise baked goods and deli products.
• Janitorial: maintain cleanliness and sanitation across store areas.
