Job summary

Festival Foods in Marshfield, WI is seeking a part-time Grocery Clerk I to stock shelves, keep products fresh, and help guests find what they need with a smile in a fast-paced retail environment.

As a key member of the department, you’ll work with the Grocery Department Manager and fellow associates to meet daily goals, maintain clean displays, and provide knowledgeable, friendly service throughout shifts that may include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Awareness of safety requirements and policies including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
• Ability to operate equipment such as power jacks, fork lift, walk-behind lifts, balers, and compactors (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Provide Helpful Service Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you’ll handle each interaction with professionalism and care.
• Stock & Display Be part of the team stocking our aisles. Ensure products are fresh, in-date, properly rotated, and well-stocked.
• Offer Assistance Help guests locate products on and off the sales floor, providing product suggestions and alternatives when appropriate.
• Receiving & Inventory Support Unload deliveries, organize stock, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Collaboration Work closely with the Grocery Department Manager and collaborate with Grocery associate team to meet goals.
• Clean & Organize Contribute to keeping the department clean, sanitized, tidy, and well-maintained as needed.
• Problem-Solving Address guest concerns with care and professionalism.
• Meet Goals Ensure shelves are fully stocked by designated times.
• Honor Commitments Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
• Support Our Team Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time; work in a cooler, walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly.
• The associate must have full range of upper body motion in order to lift product. Requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
• Must possess functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment.
• The position requires the associate to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.

Work Schedule

The Grocery Clerk I is a part-time position. The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays in a retail grocery store environment.
