Responsibilities

• Ensures cleanliness of grocery shelves, storage area, and work area for safety; includes cleaning shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills and debris.
• Stocks grocery shelves with presentation, facing, filling, and organization as per department schematics; ensure pricing accuracy.
• Rotates stock and discards expired items.
• Assists customers with purchases, information and product selection; cross-sells where appropriate.
• Receives, inspects, and logs products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Monitors point-of-purchase signs and available recipe cards and promotions.
• Operates equipment such as scales, knives, wrappers, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Weights and labels products accurately.
• Builds displays by cutting and stacking cases; maintains price accuracy.
• Participates in pre-inventory preparation and back stock work.
• Maintains product knowledge and department organization.
• Walks department to ensure cleanliness and organization at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
