Job summary

PAQ, Inc. in Rio Linda, CA is seeking a General Clerk to support the Combo or Grocery Manager by stocking, cleaning, and running the department’s day-to-day operations. You will help customers, maintain displays, refill stock, and ensure accurate inventory and go-backs.

This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional weekend/evening shifts. Previous grocery experience is preferred; forklift training is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Over one year Grocery Clerk experience preferred.
• Forklift training completed per policy.

Responsibilities

• Replenishes products across departments as directed.
• Collects shopping carts and cleans parking lots.
• Checks displays/shelves for out-of-stock items and refills.
• Assists customers in locating items and completing purchases.
• Moves products to and from storage for proper display and cooling.
• Maintains inventory accuracy to ensure fresh, high-quality stock.
• Returns customer-moved items to shelves (go-backs).
• Supports online order accuracy and fulfillment.
• Sweeps the store hourly and documents sweeps via QR codes.
• Keeps store area clean, including bathrooms and trash areas.
• Reports malfunctioning refrigeration or equipment to management.
• Greets customers and provides prompt, courteous service.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
