Job summary

ShopRite of Marlton in Marlton, NJ is hiring a Grocery Clerk to price, stock, and rotate merchandise while delivering friendly, efficient service. This role keeps the department neat, well stocked, and in compliance with safety standards.

You will handle product labeling, assist customers, and maintain clean aisles. The job requires physical endurance, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and the capacity to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work with products without negative allergic consequences.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Ability to climb a ladder to retrieve items.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work all assigned schedules and attend policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces and equipment.
• Keep floor clear of debris and spills.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Observe safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Store and display products with proper labeling and pricing.
• Keep shelves stocked and displays faced.
• Follow safety procedures for opening cartons and rotating products.
• Monitor storage area for cleanliness and readiness for next shift.
• Assist with general department duties and reports as needed.
