Key Responsibilities:

• Help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of specials and recommend grocery items to ensure they get what they want and need.
• Check product quality for freshness, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate actions.
• Provide customers with ordered fresh and non-perishable grocery products.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers, maintaining logs.
• Gain product knowledge and respond to customer questions, making suggestions.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers, making them feel valued.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repair needs.
• Report customer or employee accidents, safety risks, illegal activities.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
