Job summary

Vintage Grocers in Malibu, CA is seeking a Grocery Clerk/Stocker to stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain clean, welcoming aisles to support a great shopping experience.

You will unload trucks, build displays, assist customers, and follow safety procedures while working flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail, grocery, or stocking experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves, displays, coolers, and end caps with merchandise.
• Rotate products using FIFO to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Check expiration dates and remove damaged or unsellable products.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked aisles.
• Assist with unloading trucks and moving merchandise from stockroom to sales floor.
• Verify inventory counts and report shortages or discrepancies to management.
• Build and maintain promotional displays and seasonal merchandising setups.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service, including helping customers locate products.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and company policies; operate equipment safely.
• Assist with store recovery, cleaning, and other duties as assigned.
