Good Foods Co-op Inc. is seeking a part-time Grocery Clerk to maintain stocked, organized shelves and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting. This role involves stocking, receiving deliveries, and ensuring accurate pricing and signage while supporting a collaborative grocery team.

Responsibilities

• Stock and rotate products using FIFO.
• Keep shelves stocked, faced, organized, and ready for customers.
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service and answer product questions.
• Organize back stock to minimize stockouts and product loss.
• Receive and process deliveries and check product quality and accuracy.
• Monitor shelf tags and sale signage for accuracy.
• Support inventory counts and handle unsellable products.
• Keep grocery, warehouse, cooler, freezer, and shared areas clean and organized.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and store procedures.
• Collaborate with Grocery team to meet daily needs.

Grocery Clerk (Part-Time)

Good Foods Co-op is a community-owned natural foods grocery dedicated to providing high-quality, local, and sustainable products. As a cooperative, we're committed to supporting our community, local farmers, and producers while creating a welcoming and inclusive shopping experience.

We're looking for a Grocery Clerk who enjoys staying active, takes pride in keeping shelves stocked and organized, and wants to be part of a team that values great service, quality products, and community.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll help keep our Grocery Department running smoothly by:

• Stocking and rotating products using FIFO (first in, first out)
• Keeping shelves full, faced, organized, and ready for customers
• Providing friendly, helpful customer service and assisting with product questions
• Organizing back stock to minimize out-of-stocks and product loss
• Receiving and processing deliveries and checking products for quality and accuracy
• Monitoring shelf tags and sale signage for accuracy
• Supporting inventory counts and properly handling unsellable products
• Keeping grocery, warehouse, cooler, freezer, and shared work areas clean and organized
• Following safety, sanitation, and store procedures
• Working efficiently with the Grocery team to support daily department needs

Physical & Work Environment

• Active, fast-paced retail and backroom environment
• Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs and team lift heavier items as needed
• Work in varied conditions, including walk-in coolers and freezers
• Use of step stools, ladders, and store equipment as needed

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting wage: $15.00/hour, with annual reviews and growth opportunities
