Job summary

Cardenas Markets is seeking a friendly Grocery Clerk to keep the grocery area stocked, organized, and running smoothly. You will be the first contact for customers, helping with product information and locating items.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent and some grocery or produce experience, plus strong customer service skills. You will join a team focused on freshness, cleanliness, and helping customers have a great shopping experience.

The Grocery Clerk will be friendly and a team player. The individual will have to ensure that the grocery area is well maintained and running efficiently. Additionally, the Grocery Clerk will be the first point of contact with customers by providing them with information on their groceries.

• Address inquiries and assist customers with location items throughout store;

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS:

The physical demands and work conditions below represent those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Some requirements may be modified to accommodate individuals with disabilities:

• WALKING: Continuously, throughout shift, while moving about the store and handling merchandise.
• STANDING: Continuously, throughout shift.
• LIFTING: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
