Job summary

Jimbo is seeking a customer-focused team member to support the grocery department in Carlsbad. You will help customers, handle special orders and returns, and maintain pricing, stocking and merchandising to keep the department appealing.

The role requires friendly interaction, strong communication, and the ability to work with others to reach department goals, while following store policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality with good communication.
• Previous grocery experience and knowledge of natural foods preferred.
• Ability to read product labels and UPC codes.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Proactively assist customers within Customer Service Standards.
• Assist customers with special requests or needs, including returns and special orders.
• Maintain Grocery Department with proper pricing, stocking, facing, rotation, cleaning, storage, organization and merchandising.
• Reduce loss by recording returns, damaged products, spoilage, and breakage.
• Know products, promotions and issues relevant to the Natural Foods Industry, and assist customers accordingly.
• Attend scheduled Grocery Department meetings and store meetings; assist with inventory as needed.
• Adhere to store policies and Injury and Illness Prevention Plan.
