Job summary

Earth Fare Athens is seeking a Grocery Clerk to help customers, stock shelves, and maintain clean, organized departments in the Grocery, Dairy and Frozen Food areas. You will assist shoppers, answer questions, and ensure products are easy to find and correctly displayed.

This full-time role emphasizes fast-paced customer service, collaboration with the Earth Fare team, and a strong focus on healthful product guidance in Athens, GA 30606.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail or customer service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of common allergies and dietary terms (gluten-free, vegan, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service within the grocery, dairy and frozen food departments.
• Ensures the Grocery, Dairy and Frozen Food Departments are well stocked, clean, organized, rotated, and merchandised appropriately.
• Maintains an attractive sales floor by implementing Earth Fare merchandising guidelines as outlined by the Grocery Manager.

Contributions

• Provides excellent customer service within the grocery, dairy and frozen food departments.

Helpful and Preferred Knowledge and Experience

• Knowledge of common allergies and specialized dietary terms such as gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, etc. preferred.
• Experience working in a retail and/or customer service-oriented environment preferred.

Environmental Conditions & Physical Demands

• Works in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service.
• May work in environments of extreme cold.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel and squat
• Must be able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads
• Must be able to stand and be on one's feet during the workday
