Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a checker to join our store team. This position requires 20–25 hours per week with shifts that cover early mornings to evenings. You will provide friendly service, greet customers, and accurately process purchases while maintaining register records and cash security.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Check out customers’ purchases accurately
• Greet customers prior to checking their order
• Identify and know produce items and codes
• Distinguish between Schnucks coupons and manufacturer coupons
• Process manufacturer coupons
• Collect correct amount due from customers
• Handle cash, checks, debit/credit/EBT/WIC payments
• Maintain accurate register records
• Maintain cash security
• Bag customer orders
• Change register and coupon tapes
• Perform other duties as assigned by store management
