Job summary

Food Lion in Greenwood, SC is seeking a service-oriented team member for the Center Store (Grocery) Department. You will provide quality customer service, maintain store standards, and help maximize sales while minimizing shrink through adherence to the standard practice.

Responsibilities include welcoming customers, stocking shelves, operating cash registers, following safety procedures, and completing required CBT and training.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Keep shelves clean and tidy; stock and tag as needed.
• Maintain shelf allocations and stock from tag to tag.
• Ensure only saleable merchandise is on shelves.
• Follow policies and guidelines for ordering, receiving, and displaying merchandise.
• Understand and use company tools like ACIS and CAO.
• Adhere to company guidelines and standard practice.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report accidents to Manager on Duty.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Wear Food Lion uniform with name badge; maintain neat appearance.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
