Job summary

Food Lion in Maiden, NC is seeking a Store Associate to deliver fast, friendly customer service in the Center Store (Grocery) department and to help maintain store standards. You will support inventory, shelving and compliance with Food Lion policies and safety guidelines.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to handle multiple tasks while providing a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Ability to use information to solve problems.
Must meet minimum age requirements for specific duties.
Must meet physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
Courteous and helpful to other associates.
Stock shelves and maintain shelf tag visibility.
Maintain shelf allocations by stocking from tag to tag.
Ensure saleable merchandise is on the shelves.
Follow policies for ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying merchandise.
Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
Maintain adherence to Food Lion guidelines and safety procedures.
Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents as required.
Comply with local, state and federal regulations.
Wear Food Lion uniform and maintain neat appearance.
Complete CBT, training packets and courses.
Perform other duties as assigned.
