Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Store Associate to provide quality customer service in the Center Store (Grocery) Department, maintain shelves per plan‑o‑grams, and help minimize shrink through accurate procedures.

You will follow standard practices, operate inventory tools, and support a safe, neat shopping environment, while adhering to Food Lion policies and dress code. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Maintain Specialty Merchandise levels according to plan‑o‑grams and inventory.
• Maintain shelf allocations and proper backroom conditions.
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise.
• Use company tools (ACIS, CAO) to manage inventory and orders.
• Adhere to Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents as needed.
