Job summary

Food Lion in Charles Town, WV is hiring a Retail Associate to provide quality customer service in the Center Store (Grocery) department. You will help maintain standards per the store's practice manual, maximize sales through service, and minimize shrink through proper procedures.

You will support shelves, pricing, product displays, and safety guidelines while using ACIS and CAO tools. The role requires teamwork, reliability, and adherence to company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service within the Center Store (Grocery) Department.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Keep shelves clean and update shelf tag moldings during stocking.
• Maintain shelf allocations by stocking from tag to tag.
• Ensure only saleable merchandise is displayed.
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying per guidelines.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Follow Food Lion guidelines, policies and standard practice.
• Adhere to Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines.
• Report accidents per procedures to the Manager on Duty.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear uniform with name badge; present neat appearance.
• Complete CBT and training packages as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
