Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies in Oxford, MS is seeking a friendly Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to create an outstanding customer experience. This on-site role emphasizes safe, clean environments, accurate bagging, and helping customers at checkout.

You will follow store procedures and company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety for others. Responsibilities include bagging groceries, assisting with loading bags into cars, stocking shelves, and keeping aisles

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout and assist customers
• Aim for at least five items per bag while preventing damage
• Follow bagging best practices for all bag types
• Assist customers with loading bags into their car
• Perform basic shelf conditioning
• Inform customers of grocery specials
• Return merchandise to store shelves
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot
• Understand store layout to locate products and conduct price checks
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
• Adhere to food safety regulations
• Inspect equipment and report repairs
• Create welcoming environment and answer customer questions
• Follow local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
• Manage conflict calmly and cooperatively
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek help when needed
• Support minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
• Perform essential functions with or without accommodations
