Job summary

Kroger in Redmond, Oregon is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will assist customers, bag groceries, and help with loading bags into cars while following safety and food-handling guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Aim to bag at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging with reusable, plastic, and paper bags.
• Assist in removing customer merchandise from bascarts for checkout.
• Offer to help load bags into customers' cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves.
• Pull bascarts and return to designated areas.
• Clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and check prices for cashiers.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs.
• Create an welcoming environment and answer product questions.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced or stressful environments.
