Job summary

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers
• Aim for at least five items per bag while preventing damage
• Bag using reusable, plastic, or paper bags
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car
• Perform basic shelf conditioning
• Inform customers of grocery specials
• Return merchandise to store shelves
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas
• Clean spills, collect and trash inside store and parking lot
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks
• Reinforce safety programs and identify hazards and notify management
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering product questions
