Heinen’s, Inc. is hiring a Part-Time Grocery Associate for Mentor, OH. You will prioritize daily work, learn the Grocery Department, and assist with writing orders, stocking, rotating and merchandising to support store operations.

This role values teamwork and strong communication, requires flexibility to work weekends and evenings, and includes promotion opportunities. The position offers hourly pay from $13.00 to $21.00 and is part of a family‑owned company with a long history of service.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sense of urgency and the ability to work independently to achieve daily tasks.
• Comply with all company policies and standards.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Production driven with the ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing.
• Ability to frequent lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work required hours with occasional extended time.
• Willing to work non-traditional five-day schedule, including weekends.
• Exposure to extreme conditions (hot or cold) as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs.
• Acquire and share knowledge of Grocery Department.
• Responsible for writing orders using effective pars and planning.
• Work as a team to complete daily tasks, including: scanning and recording shrink, order writing, stocking, rotating and merchandising.
• Attend required corporate meetings and training classes.
• Comply with all personal and food safety company standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
