Job summary

Fresco y Mas is seeking a Grocery Associate to enhance customer confidence and loyalty through courteous service and a consistent store environment. You will help create a friendly atmosphere and ensure efficient department operations.

The role involves stocking, assisting customers, and maintaining product freshness across grocery, dairy, and frozen sections, with adherence to safety & company policies. Eligible applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, prompt and friendly service to customers.
• Offer product suggestions when appropriate.
• Stock and rotate department items to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Operate department equipment and tools as required.
• Assist with receiving vendor merchandise and unloading deliveries.
• Notify management of any policy deviations or security concerns.

Position Overview

The grocery associate is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, consistent operating conditions and a friendly atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Provide continuous attention to customer needs; greet, assist and thank customers in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner.
• Offer product suggestions when appropriate.
• Stock and rotate department (grocery, general merchandise, dairy and frozen food areas) products to ensure freshness and date control; restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and to maintain the lowest supply cost.
• Operate department equipment and tools.
• Assist with receiving vendor merchandise.
• Unload truck deliveries promptly.
• Notify management of associate theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized mark‑downs, property defacement or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Meet legal and company policy age requirements to perform job functions.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
• Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
• Successful completion of pre‑employment drug testing and background check.
