Job summary

Röchling Automotive in Akron, Ohio, is seeking a manufacturing associate to grind resin materials and manage scrap materials in a fast-paced plant environment. You will operate grinders, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safe, accurate handling of materials according to production requirements.

Responsibilities include forklift movement, LOTO compliance, and documentation for shipping and waste disposal.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred or ability to become certified.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Grind resin materials according to production requirements.
• Maintain inventory and control of scrap and ground materials.
• Operate a forklift to load semi-trailers and transport materials throughout the facility.
• Perform material movement and handling activities safely and efficiently.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble grinders.
• Blend materials and perform equipment changeovers as needed.
• Remove production refuse and scrap from all manufacturing areas.
• Dispose of waste in compactors and open-top dumpsters.
• Load scrap material for resale and maintain required shipping documentation.
• Complete bills of lading and related paperwork.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and basic equipment troubleshooting.
• Adhere to all company safety, quality, environmental, and housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
