Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a Grinding Operator at our Fort Mill, SC facility. You will prepare machines, set tooling and parameters per work orders, and monitor production processes to ensure quality and efficiency.

The role requires following written and verbal instructions in English, operating medium-complex machinery, and lifting medium-heavy objects as needed. Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English.
  • Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good visual acuity.
  • Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.

Grinding Operator

Location: Fort Mill, SC, US, 29715

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare machines for the production program, by tooling and parametrization according to work order

  • Support maintenance in regular inspections and repair measures
Your Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English
  • Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment
  • Good visual acuity
  • Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required

Preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience of operating machines in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with power tools
  • Ability to read Blueprints
