Job summary

Timken in Houston is seeking a Grinder Operator (ID/OD/honing cylindrical grinder) for the 2nd shift to accurately grind and hone parts to close tolerances. You will read blueprints, set up and operate an NC grinder, and ensure parts meet specifications with careful measurement and cleanliness.

We value accuracy, teamwork, and a willingness to learn. The role offers hands-on training and opportunities to advance within the company, with potential overtime on the 3pm–11:30pm shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Experience or training in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in operation of grinder/lathe.
• Basic math, geometry, and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read prints and use precision measuring tools.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Aptitude for decision-making and problem solving.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Motivation to grow within the company.

Physical Requirements:
