Job summary

Menasha Corporation is seeking an Operator to manage grinder and dump station duties at our SC operations. You will handle regrind processing, conduct silo readings, and ensure contaminants are removed from boxed regrind streams.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to STW/5S practices, and active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinder and dump station.
• Conduct silo readings and melt flow tests per load of boxed regrind.
• Disassemble buy back products and remove contaminants (metal, fiberglass, etc.).
• Count and verify regrind inventory; record grinding throughput.
• Fill in for operators as needed.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner using PPE and STW documentation.
• Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote 5S and STW activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

About The Opportunity

Operate grinder and dump station to maintain adequate levels of non-prime materials.

• 1. Conduct silo readings and melt flow tests per load of boxed regrind.
• 2. Disassemble buy back products, identify and remove contaminants (metal, fiberglass, etc.) from all products that will be ground.
• 3. Operate grinder and dump station.
• 4. Counts and verifies regrind inventory, records grinding throughput.
• 5. Fill in for operators as needed.
• 6. Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).
• 7. Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.
• 8. Other duties as assigned.
