Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a temporary Grill Cook at Christian Hospital in Saint Louis, MO 63136. Schedule 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, rotating weekends/holidays; prior grill cooking experience is required. Fixed pay rate is $16.50 per hour, with a path to permanent employment.

Summary: Prepares food and serves customers at the grill station in accordance with standards to ensure high-quality food service is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous grill cooking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders from customer and prepares items requiring short preparation.
• Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Serves customers efficiently following established steps of service and ensures proper temperatures and presentation.
• Uses established ticket-collection procedures during service and maintains records from area worked.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality, temperatures and portions.
• Carries pans and kettles between stations and preserves safety standards.
• Stores foods with proper wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains all work areas and equipment to meet sanitation standards.
• Resolves customer concerns and reports to supervisor.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and managers.
• Performs duties safely in a clean, safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
