Job summary

Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring a full-time Grill Cook for Whittier College in Whittier, CA. Qualifications

• A valid culinary degree or previous high-volume kitchen, banquet, or corporate experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders and prepares items requiring short preparation; completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Serves customers efficiently and follows steps of service; ensures correct temperatures, attractive presentation, and taste.
• Maintains records from area worked during service periods.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality, temperatures and portions.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays safely between workstations, stove and refrigerator.
• Stores foods with proper wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains work areas and equipment; ensures sanitation standards.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings and maintains good working relationships.
