Tender Greens in San Diego is seeking a Grill Cook/Carver with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team. You’ll prepare all items to order, portion correctly, and maintain kitchen safety.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years on-line experience, knife skills, and the ability to handle pressure. The role offers tips, free meals during shifts, and opportunities for growth in a lively, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ restaurant industry experience working on the line.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Understanding professional cooking and knife handling skills.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
• Food handler's card required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs.

Responsibilities

• Preparing all food items to order, following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits.
• Ensuring guest orders are properly portioned and ready to be served.
• Disinfecting and sanitizing cutting boards, worktables, grill and equipment.
• Restocking items that were depleted during the shift.
• Carrying equipment, food supplies, and utensils to and from work and storage areas.
• Ensuring foods are properly stored to prevent spoilage.
• Becoming familiar with new menu items and dishes.
