Thompson Hospitality is seeking a Grill Cook to join the kitchen team at Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale, Mississippi. In a fast-paced, high-energy dining environment, you will grill burgers and other menu items to perfection while upholding quality and presentation standards.

You should have at least 6 months of grill cook experience, be able to follow recipes, and maintain food safety practices. Flexible weekend/holiday shifts are required.

Physical Requirements:

• Cooking experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
• Able to read documents and written instructions to understand sanitation requirements, safety rules, equipment operation and maintenance, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Certification in food safety and sanitation is a plus.
• Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and holidays.
• Stand for extended periods of time and navigate occasional wet or greasy floor conditions.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs (food product cases, bulk ingredients, kitchen equipment).
• Work in a hot, humid, and fast-paced environment.
• Bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely.
