Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Grill Cook at the University location in Winston-Salem. You’ll prepare and present a variety of dishes with a focus on customer service and minimizing waste. Requires flexibility with shifts, weekends, and varying hours.

Full-Time or Part-Time positions are available, with pay ranging from $14.50 to $15.50 per hour. Benefits and development opportunities are offered per site policy and union arrangements where applicable.

• Must be team-oriented, adaptable, and reliable.
• Respect for safety and food handling standards.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present hot and cold items for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and events.
• Read and measure ingredients according to recipes.
• Operate a grill station, fryer, and related kitchen equipment when needed.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time with reliable attendance.
• Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.

Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Pay Range: $14.50 per hour - $15.50 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a Grill Cook at Sodexo, you are a team player and food waste reducer. You’ll prepare and create nutritious dishes while putting customer service at the heart of everything you do. Your passion for food and warm smile will make a positive impact and brighten the day of those you serve.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: to include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
• Read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipe(s)
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
