ISS Guckenheimer is seeking a Weekend Night Cook to support evening and weekend meal service in a professional culinary environment. This full-time role offers a weekend/night schedule, opportunities to advance, and a chance to contribute to high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will prepare fresh meals, handle daily prep, maintain a clean, safe workspace, follow recipes and production sheets, and collaborate with a skilled culinary team to ensure service runs smoothly.

Qualifikationen

• 1 year of professional cooking experience or equivalent culinary education.
• Basic knowledge of cooking and food-preparation techniques.
• Experience in a professional kitchen environment (restaurant, cafeteria, hotel, catering).
• Ability to work independently during evening and weekend hours.
• Strong focus on food quality, safety and sanitation.
• Reliable, dependable and a good team player.

ISS Guckenheimer offers full-time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The hourly pay range for this position is $16.50 per hour - $16.50 per hour.

Work Hours

The work hours for this position are Mon - Fri + Weekends, 4:00 pm - 12:00 am.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment, including slicers, mixers, food processors, blenders, and choppers
• Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas clean, organized, and sanitized
• Follow all food-safety, HACCP, sanitation, workplace-safety, and company procedures
• Monitor ingredient availability and communicate shortages or concerns to management
• Report food-safety, equipment, or operational issues requiring management attention
• Work collaboratively with the culinary team to keep service running smoothly
• Attend required team meetings
• Perform additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of professional cooking experience or equivalent culinary education
• Basic knowledge of cooking and food-preparation techniques
• Experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, hotel, catering operation, corporate dining environment, or other professional kitchen preferred
• Comfortable working independently during evening and weekend hours
• Able to follow recipes, production sheets, and kitchen procedures
• Strong attention to food quality, safety, and sanitation
• Reliable and dependable
• Works well as part of a team
• Able to stay organized and productive during busy meal periods

The Physical Side of the Job

This is an active, hands-on kitchen position. You should be comfortable:

• Standing for long periods of time, up to approximately 8 hours
• Bending, reaching, stooping, pushing, and pulling
• Frequently lifting up to 35 pounds
• Using team lifts, carts, and other assistance when handling heavier loads
• Working under pressure and meeting service deadlines during peak periods
• Safely operating commercial kitchen equipment
• Safely operating a mid-sized company delivery van or truck when required
