Job summary

Sodexo at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston is seeking a Grill Cook to join our dining services team. You will prepare and present a variety of hot and cold dishes with a strong focus on quality and customer service.

Shifts are afternoons/evenings with some weekends and holidays; full-time employment with a competitive hourly wage. A positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of related kitchen/food service experience is beneficial.
• Strong teamwork and reliability required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, grill, and present hot and cold items for meals.
• Read and measure ingredients according to recipes.
• Operate grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time with regularity.
• Other duties as required by client needs.

Workdays/shifts: Afternoon/evenings - varying days, and some weekends/holidays. More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $27.76 per hour - $27.76 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a Grill Cook at Sodexo, you are a team player and food waste reducer. You’ll prepare and create nutritious dishes while putting customer service at the heart of everything you do. Your passion for food and warm smile will make a positive impact and brighten the day of those you serve.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: to include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
• Read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipe(s)
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
