Job summary

Primanti Bros in Moon Township, PA is seeking a friendly Greeter to welcome guests, manage the door, and help ensure quick, courteous service at the counter and on the phone.

As a part-time, on-site position, you will handle take-out orders, assist guests with menus, and support the team in delivering a welcoming dining experience.

No previous experience required; you will learn the POS system and bask in a team-oriented environment with flexible scheduling and free meals.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Enthusiastic, dependable and able to multitask.
• Basic math for handling cash and POS transactions.
• Experience with a point-of-sale system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a cheerful, courteous disposition and neat appearance.
• Greets fans warmly at the door or on the phone.
• Answers phone with correct greeting within 3 rings.
• Handles take-out and call-in orders; educates fans on items.
• Ensures an exceptional to-go experience, may deliver to car.
• Seates fans promptly according to floor chart.
• Uses wait management system to manage flow.
• Attends to fans with children; provides kids pack and seating as needed.
• Checks restrooms for cleanliness and supplies every 20 minutes.
• Maintains knowledge of the menu.
• Runs food from expo and pre-busses tables.
• Buses and cleans tables and booths.
• Communicates questions to coaches as appropriate.
• Balances cash drawer when needed.

Position Summary

Greeters make the first great impression on fans and control the smooth and efficient flow of the restaurant. They create a welcoming experience whether greeting a fan at the door or on the phone. They are also responsible for providing fast service and great hospitality for our to-go fans.

Essential Functions

• Maintains a cheerful, courteous disposition and a neat, clean, and professional image.
• Provides a warm and welcoming greeting to each fan, including opening the door whenever possible.
• Answers the phone with the correct greeting and within 3 rings.
• Handles take-out and call-in orders, rings order, packages in appropriate containers, educates fans on retail items, keeps greeting station and retail areas well stocked.
• Ensures an exceptional to-go experience for every fan, which may include delivering food to fans to the restaurant parking lot.
• Seats fans immediately in a table or booth that is comfortable for them, following the floor chart.
• Uses a wait management system to manage the flow of the restaurant while on a wait.
• Attends to fans with small children – provides a kids pack, highchair, sling or booster as needed, or any specific requests to make them comfortable.
• Checks restrooms for cleanliness and supplies every 20 minutes.
• Possesses proficient knowledge of the menu.
• Runs food from the expo area and pre-busses tables as needed.
• Busses and cleans tables and booths as needed.
• Communicates fan questions or concerns to coaches as appropriate.
• Balances cash drawer as needed.
• Adheres to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures throughout shift.
• Completes opening, shift change, and closing checklists found in multi-colored wall units as well as weekly and monthly cleaning tasks.
• Performs other duties as needed per coach request.

Qualification Standards

• Stands 100% of the shift.
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and wiping.
• Able to deliver food, beverages, and clear tables which may require lifting as much as 50 lbs.
