Bass Pro Shops in Hammond, IN is seeking a part-time Greeter to provide a warm, welcoming front-end experience and assist with promotions and events. You will greet customers, promote CLUB Membership and in-store pickup, and uphold our brand standards.

This role supports a safe, friendly shopping environment and collaborates with Outfitters as needed. The position emphasizes friendliness, reliability, and strong communication while handling merchandise checks and visitor badges.

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers in a friendly and outgoing manner.
• Actively promotes programs including CLUB Membership (US only), VOC and In-Store Pickup.
• Models brand standards by dressing in Bass Pro Shops green or Cabela’s tan shirt, badge visible.
• Checks in customers’ merchandise for returns and manages visitor logs.
• Informs customers of events, sales, or promotions and distributes promotional materials.
• Keeps entryway and surrounding area clean, tidy, and safe for customers and Outfitters.
• Assists with firearm check-in by notifying the appropriate Outfitter; greeters do not handle firearms.
• All other duties as assigned.

## Greeter Part-TimeApply: Hammond, IN: Part time: Posted Today: End Date: October 25, 2026 (29 days left to apply): R268700***POSITION SUMMARY:*** The Greeter performs various Customer Service activities, to include greeting all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information and direction to customers, distributing promotional materials, and other front-end tasking to support business needs. Greeters are expected to smile and be friendly and outgoing with every guest. They will provide an over the top customer service experience for every guest, ensuring that our customers feel welcomed and appreciated.***ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**** Greets all customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner.* Actively promoting programs including but not limited to CLUB Membership (US only), VOC and In-Store Pickup.* Modeling our brand standard for customer service by presenting a professional image by adhering to our dress code with a green logo shirt for Bass Pro Shops or tan logo shirt for Cabela’s, name badge visible, appropriate apparel/footwear that meets dress code guidelines, a smile, eye contact, and welcoming body language.* Checks in all customers’ merchandise for return.* Checks in all Vendor representatives, completing the necessary visitor log information and controlling the visitor badges.* Remains aware of all “Special events” in the store and informs customers of details of events, sales, or promotions. Additionally, will provide customers with promotional materials to support special events.* Ensures entryway and surrounding work area remain clean, tidy, and safe for customers and Outfitters.* Assists facilitation of customer check-in of all firearms/weapons by notifying the appropriate trained and designated Outfitter to complete the guest check-in per company SOP.
