Job summary
Novant Health Urgent Care in Greer is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to prepare patients for physician visits, take vitals, and document information into the EMR system while supporting front desk duties with phone calls and patient data updates.
The ideal candidate has an accredited Medical Assisting program, CMA/RMA certification, and strong communication, CPR, OSHA/HIPAA training, with flexibility for 12-hour shifts and work at multiple centers as needed.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program.
- Current CMA or RMA certification.
- Computer skills.
- Basic medical terminology.
- Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
- OSHA/HIPAA training.
- Willing to work 12 hour shifts and weekends.
- Willing to work at other centers as needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Must reflect NHUC's mission and values.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients by taking vitals and documenting information into the EMR.

NHUC is currently looking for a medical assistant to join our team who will prepare patients for their physician visit. MA's prepare patients by taking vitals, documents vital information from patient into EMR system. They also assist with patient services duties at the front desk taking phone calls, updating patient demographics and offering outstanding customer service.
A good candidate will bring with them:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program
- Current Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant
- Computer skills

- Trained in OSHA/HIPAA compliance
