Job summary

Dormie Network's golf operations seek a Greenskeeper I / Laborer to support daily maintenance, helping uphold the course's presentation and playability for members and guests.

This role involves outdoor physical work, operating basic maintenance equipment safely, and learning under the agronomy team while contributing to a positive work environment. Flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays are expected; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of prior golf course maintenance or related outdoor labor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide labor support for daily golf course maintenance activities.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as raking bunkers, shoveling, trimming, operating backpack mowers, and walk or push mowing greens.
• Assist with a wide range of golf course maintenance activities as directed.
• Perform all assigned tasks to established standards with care and attention to detail.
• Follow golf course etiquette standards while working on the course.
• Operate maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support upkeep of equipment and report damage or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Inform supervisors of incidents during work activities.
• Adhere to Dormie Network policies, procedures, and safety programs.
• Maintain professional appearance and wear uniforms.
• Work collaboratively with team members and take direction from agronomy leadership.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

The Greenskeeper I / Laborer provides essential hands-on support to daily golf course maintenance operations, contributing to the care, presentation, and playability of the golf course.

This position has full-time and part-time opportunities available.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As part of the Agronomy team, your essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide labor support for daily golf course maintenance activities.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as raking bunkers, shoveling, trimming, operating backpack mowers, and walk or push mowing greens.
• Assist with a wide range of golf course maintenance activities as directed.
• Perform all assigned tasks to established standards with care and attention to detail.
• Follow golf course etiquette standards while working on the course.
• Operate maintenance equipment efficiently and safely.
• Support upkeep of equipment through proper use and basic care to maximize equipment life and minimize downtime.
• Report damage, safety concerns, or operational issues to supervisors promptly.
• Inform supervisors of any incidents that occur during work activities.
• Adhere to Dormie Network policies, procedures, and safety programs at all times.
• Maintain professional appearance standards and wear assigned uniforms.
• Work collaboratively with fellow employees to support an efficient and positive team environment.
• Take direction from agronomy leadership and complete assigned tasks with limited supervision.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by agronomy leadership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to three years of prior golf course maintenance or related outdoor labor experience preferred.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Ability to walk and maneuver on uneven terrain.
• Ability to bend, crouch, stretch, push, pull, and perform physical labor as required.
• Ability to visually inspect turf conditions, machinery, and materials.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate local machinery when properly licensed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
