Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Greenskeeper to maintain the grounds of golf courses and perform routine duties around the course. The role involves daily cup location changes, tee ground maintenance, and general course upkeep.

You will operate landscaping equipment, manage irrigation as directed, and work outdoors across multiple sites within the region. Ability to travel between job sites and work flexible hours, including weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to report for daily work at different job sites within the region to perform required tasks.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Change cup locations on greens daily or as directed by the supervisor.
• Service all teeing ground stations on course, including moving markers and filling divots.
• Remove broken tees and trash from receptacles around the course.
• Maintain ball-washers, water and soap.
• Police trash on the golf course during daily travel.
• Monitor traffic control devices such as ropes, stakes, and directional signs.
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Collect leaves, trash, and cut grass for disposal.
• Operate vehicles for daily bunker raking and mowing duties.
• Apply irrigation as directed by a supervisor.

Job Summary

• The Greenskeeper maintains the grounds of golf courses.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Change cup locations on all greens daily or as directed by the supervisor
• Service all teeing ground stations on course to include: - Move markers - Sand/seed divots from the prior day's play
• Remove broken tees from the course and trash from receptacles
• Maintain ball-washers water and soap
• Police trash from the golf course during daily travel
• Monitor traffic control devices on the golf course- ropes, stakes, and directional signs
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Pick up leaves, trash, and cut grass and place onto a truck or trailer
• Operate various vehicles used to perform daily bunker raking activities, including power raking and hand raking
• Mow small turf areas using small push power mowers
• Apply irrigation to golf course as directed by a supervisor

Education And Experience

• Ability to report for daily work at different job sites within the region to perform required tasks
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Regular lifting up to 20 pounds
• Be at least 18 years old (21 if operating company provided vehicles)
• Possess strong stamina and have the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
• Able to safely operate landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers).
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, stand, walk continuously throughout the day and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• Able to perform manual labor using a variety of hand tools (e.g. shovels, rakes)
• You are able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, hand protection, eye protection, hearing protection, head protection)
• Landscapers who will be operating a BrightView fleet vehicle are required to have a valid driver’s license and meet company standards as it relates motor vehicle performance identified on a state issued motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
• Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur.

Work Environment

• Ability to work outdoors/indoors in moderate to extreme weather conditions (e.g., temperatures more than 100°F, temperatures below 32°F, various levels of humidity)
• Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
• Work outdoors near automotive traffic, bodies of water, fumes, dust, mechanical and/or electrical hazards.
• Ability to work in environments where extended periods of loud noise are present.
• Ability to work in environments where exposure to allergens such as pollen and rag weed, insects such as bees and spiders and reptiles such as lizards and snakes.

Compensation Pay Range

$17.00 - $19.00 hourly
