Job summary

The University Club of Kentucky, part of Troon, is seeking a Greenskeeper for full-time, on-site duties at the golf course. The role emphasizes landscaping, maintenance, and grounds care to ensure top playing conditions and course aesthetics.

Beginner Greenskeepers are welcome; training is provided. Flexibility to work extended hours during the golf season and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers)

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

We're hiring a Greenskeeper for University Club of Kentucky !

Ideal candidates have a passion for landscaping and nurturing our grounds. As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course. Beginner Greenskeepers are welcome – while knowledge of grounds maintenance is preferred, previous experience is not required for the position.

Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work extended hours during golf and holiday season, as needed.

Our team has made a conscious effort to ensure strong protocols are in place to keep you and our patrons safe, so you can focus on the customer experience, landscape, and equipment maintenance.

Pay Range: $15.00-20.00/ per hour
